ICEE’S

I recall Elsie working at the Fairview Grocery Store (it is the building across the road from North Crossett First National Bank). Anyway, I thought it would be so neat to have kin folk working there. That was where we would stop and get ICEE’s. So, it only seemed right that my aunt that was working there would be able to give me more ICEE than she gave other people. Well, I was wrong. Elsie did the right thing and served everyone the same. Oh Well, I still like ICEE’s and think of Elsie.

Home Sweet Home

I’m finally back home. After almost 2 weeks of being away, I made it back safe and sound. It felt so good to sleep in my own bed! I’m reminded of a quote from the movie Juno, “I forget how much I like being home, until I’ve been someplace really different for awhile”.
