Granny could hear the Fireworks

Well, in about 10 minutes the town’s fireworks will begin. I just came through town and several families had already staked out their favorite place to watch the fireworks. Each 4th we would talk to Granny and she would tell us that she could hear the fireworks going off. We live about 6 miles from where the fireworks presentation will be, and I will be able to hear them even out here. So something as simple and small as a fireworks bring about the thought of Granny.
