Christmas traditions

I thought it would be fun to share some of our Christmas traditions with each other.
One of my favorites is every year I add one black and white photo of each girl in a photo frame ornament to our Christmas tree. Not only do we get to enjoy them every year, but one day when the girls are old enough to have a Christmas tree of their own, I’ll get to give them their photo ornament collection.
So, that’s one of our traditions, what’s yours?

Christmas is going to be so hard for my family and me this year! All of our Christmas traditions revolved around Granny. And now that she’s gone, I don’t know what we’re going to do. A few of my favorites:
Granny’s biskets! I remember she got up and made them for us on our Christmas morning last year.
When Granny used to come down to Texas for Christmas, we’d always go out to see the Christmas lights. We’d drive around town, singing Christmas songs, and looking at all the beautiful decorations. There’s this one park that always puts up lights. We’d drive through the park every year and look for the new additions (they add at least one new thing every year) and then at the end we’d all stand under the gigantic tree of lights. Rachel and I would spin around under there, but everyone else would just laugh at us and then catch us when we fell over.
I loved those times! I after Granny got to weak to travel all the way to Texas, it became our Christmas tradition to bring a Texan Christmas to her. It’s going to be so hard this year, not having her there. I don’t know how we’re going to make it through.
