getting better
Jerry and I arrived safely back in Memphis. Before we left, we took some pictures of Alahna so that you all could see the improvement that she has made in the past few days. It is truly a visual of God’s blessings! She is making great strides (literally) walking with the walker and getting stronger every day. She got the feeding tube out yesterday. The rehab doctor says another couple of weeks in the hospital but she keeps exceeding the goals they set for her so we are hoping she will be released sooner than that. She is talking about Stone now, but not with sadness. She laughs about the funny things she remembers. Please continue to pray for her, Paul, and Vanessa’s healing, both physically and emotionally. -Denise

We praise God for the comfort has left for his children. You are in our minds and prayers everyday and our heart felt love and concern go out to you.
Alahna, you are beautiful and healing so fast. What a great family you have.
We are so happy about Alahna’s progress. Please know that lots of prayers for your family are still being offered up from Guin, Alabama. I’ve talked with Jerry several times in the past few weeks and am reminded why we are so crazy about the Martin family!
It seems just like a few days ago that Vanessa came with you Christmas and stayed with us just days before she married Paul. Now look at them all grown up and facing this tragedy with God’s help. I am glad that I have all of the Martin’s in my family. Love and a big old Granny hug to all.
I have been following your story and praying for your family since I heard the news of the accident. I worked with Paul at St. Marys in the Lab for several years. I was so saddened to hear this…Paul I always knew how much you loved your family and they are #1 with you always.
So happy that God has graced your family with Alahna’s improvement…so difficult to understand Stone’s passing…may God’s grace be with you as you gain HIS peace in the separation from your beloved child. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May God bless you with His grace, peace and understanding at this difficult time.
