Next Project – Martin Cookbook 2nd Edition

Okay the reunion is over, so I will start my next project, Martin Family Cookbook 2nd Edition. I need all of your help, recipes are needed. I have set the date of January 31st for the deadline to have all the recipes in to me. I hope that everyone will contribute their family recipes to make this a success.

Please send in your recipes by January 31st.

Too Busy?

I wish more family members would join us on “The Martin Box”.  I understand that everyone is busy, but I feel that Paula, Tina, Whitney, and I are just as busy as each of you. Paula designed this site to have an easy avenue for each of us to stay connected. People say that they just don’t have time to sit down and write a letter anymore or that when they have time to call someone it is usually late at night when the day is wounding down. That is why “The Martin Box” was designed. Why won’t you join us?

I left Katherine out on purpose! I have to keep after her to update her personal blog. After several days of not reading a new post, I scold her.

I knew that if I left her name out that I would get a response from her…..it worked.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 So I would like to remind each of you to schedule

your mammogram during this month.

Cookbook for 2009

I am so glad to say that we are getting some recipes in. Suggestions are always welcome concerning the cookbook layout. One plan for the cookbook is to have a section with just Granny’s recipes in it. Also,  it was suggested to include all the recipes from the first cookbook. That is just fine, but I do want lots of new/different recipes.

This is something that Whitney and I really want to accomplish. If you are like us our calendar is full for the remained of the year. So, our first thing on our 2009 calendar is the completion of the cookbook project. This is allow everyone plenty of time to send in your recipes and allow us time to design and print the cookbook.

So be sure and send your family’s recipes. PLEASE.

Family Directory

I just need to get Ben & Becky’s directory information. I called again today and left another message. I sent the request to their kids and I received 2 of them back- so I know that their addressess most certainly needed updating. So if anyone talks to Ben & Becky remind them of this.
